Is Tee Higgins Hurt Or Healthy?
Forming a dynamic duo with fellow Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, 2022 has been another strong year for Tee Higgins. The Clemson product has logged 894 receiving yards and six TDs on 65 catches this season. Higgins currently stands as the overall fantasy WR13 in standard scoring formats.
While his overall production has remained solid, Higgins' hamstring injury - and the Bengals' handling of it - has been a source of frustration for his fantasy managers in recent weeks.
After a Week 14 disaster in which Higgins entered Sunday without an injury designation but was a no-show against the Cleveland Browns, he bounced back to post 33 yards and a TD last week against the Tampa Bay Bucs.
Ahead of Week 16, he was a limited practice participant Tuesday but logged full sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Higgins carries no injury designation into Saturday's matchup with the New England Patriots and is expected to be a full go.
Tee Higgins Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 16
Fantasy managers might be, understandably, reluctant to trust the Bengals' injury report since the Week 14 Higgins injury debacle, but there doesn't appear to be any sleight of hand taking place this week. Higgins played in Week 15 and was listed as a full practice participant for Wednesday and Thursday.
What his GMs should be concerned about is a difficult matchup against the New England Patriots. New England ranks third in the NFL in Pass Defense DVOA in 2022. Despite the less-than-ideal matchup, Higgins is a must-start WR2 option in the fantasy playoffs this week.
