Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was the 69th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Dell had an excellent college career, totaling 228 receptions for 3,155 receiving yards and 32 touchdowns. He had over 1,300 receiving yards and 12 or more touchdowns in both his final two years at Houston.
The former Cougar was a popular dynasty rookie draft pick this year. Reportedly, C.J. Stroud asked the Texans to draft the explosive wide receiver. The third-round rookie wide receiver has started to make an impact this season after starting the year behind Robert Woods and Noah Brown on the depth chart.
Dell had three receptions on four targets for 34 receiving yards and 4.9 half-point PPR fantasy points in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens. Then the rookie had seven receptions on 10 targets for 72 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts, scoring 16.7 fantasy points.

What Did Tank Dell Accomplish In Week 3?
Despite his impressive performance against the Colts, the former Houston Cougar remained on the waiver wire in most fantasy football leagues. However, he was outstanding in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The third-round rookie wide receiver had five receptions on seven targets for 145 receiving yards and a touchdown on Sunday. Dell finished the game with 23 fantasy points, surpassing his season total entering the game.
He was the team’s top wide receiver in Week 3. The rookie had nearly twice as many fantasy points as Nico Collins, John Metchie III, and Woods combined.
Is Tank Dell A Good Fantasy Football Pickup for Week 4?
After starting the year as the No. 4 wide receiver on the depth chart, Dell appears to be the top guy in Houston’s passing attack. According to Fantasy Points Data, the former Cougar had seen his first-read target share improve. He had a 14.8% share in Week 1. By comparison, Dell had a 31.6% share last week.
More importantly, the former Houston Cougar has a 23.9% target per route run rate over the past two weeks. He has seen a target once per 4.2 routes run since Week 1. Furthermore, Dell averaged nearly 5.6 yards per route run against the Jaguars.
The rookie is available in over 75% of ESPN leagues. He is the top waiver wire add this week for fantasy players.
