Jacksonville Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby had an impressive career at Auburn University, earning third-round draft capital in the 2023 NFL Draft. It was a significant draft position for a ball carrier, so he could be heavily involved in his rookie campaign.
Travis Etienne is the team's starting running back, but the former Clemson star struggled in goal-to-go situations last season. This is where Bigsby could carve out a meaningful role.
Is Bigsby the Jaguars' short-yardage back in 2023? Where should you draft him? Let's dive in.

Is Tank Bigsby The Jaguars Short-Yardage Back?
Bigsby has been impressing in short-yardage situations in training camp. According to SI.com's John Shipley, he looked like a "runaway freight train" in camp drills on Tuesday, scoring twice in a red-zone drill against the starting defense.
The 21-year-old will still open the season behind Etienne but he appears in line to at least see some opportunities to score short touchdowns.
Last season, Etienne converted just two of his 10 rushes inside the five-yard-line for touchdowns, so it won't be surprising if Bigsby gets mixed in near the goal line.
Where Should You Draft Bigsby For Fantasy Football?
Bigsby's ADP in half-PPR formats sits around the RB53 spot. Given he's cheaper than players like Roschon Johnson and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, he figures to be a great late-round flier at running back.
He won't be a consistent producer, but his touchdown upside could make him valuable in best ball formats and he's one injury away from a potential bell cow role in one of the league's most exciting offenses for 2023.
Given all the uncertainty surrounding many of the superstar running backs, throwing darts on a ton of handcuff RBs could be a fruitful strategy for fantasy football this season. Bigsby is an attractive piece for that strategy in the 10th round of 12-team leagues.
