Ryan Tannehill Injury Update for Fantasy Football
As of now, all signs point to the Tennessee Titans not having starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill when the team hosts the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
While head coach Mike Vrabel hasn't officially ruled Tannehill out yet, it's not a good sign that the quarterback is still not practicing. The Titans had a bye week last week.
Playing quarterback on a sprained ankle can't be easy. More than likely, Tannehill won't suit up this week unless he's back to 100% by Sunday. The fact the team is already planning alternatives is a bad sign for Tannehill's availability.
Ryan Tannehill Fantasy Football Outlook
Fantasy managers should be preparing to go without Ryan Tannehill this weekend. Not that he had much fantasy value in the first place, as Tannehill has zero games this season with more than one touchdown pass.
If Tannehill is out, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel has indicated that the team would play both Malik Willis and Will Levis at quarterback. Willis came in for the injured Tannehill against the Ravens and was 4-for-5 for 74 yards and added 17 rushing yards, but he was also sacked four times.
As a rookie, Willis completed just 50.8% of his pass attempts. He started three games but failed to throw a touchdown pass. Add in the fact that the rookie Levis is expected to see snaps and there's no reason to consider the quarterback position in Tennessee in fantasy football in Week 8 against the Falcons.
