Is Russell Wilson Hurt Or Healthy?
To say Russell Wilson's first year with the Denver Broncos has been disappointing would be a massive understatement. The Broncos currently sport a pitiful 3-10 record, while Wilson is on pace for career lows in completion percentage, passing yards, and TDs.
As if things weren't already bad enough in the Mile High City, the veteran QB suffered a disturbing head injury against Kansas City in Week 14. Wilson left the game and did not return.
He was later diagnosed with a concussion and is now in the NFL's concussion protocol as a result. Wilson was ruled out of Denver's Wednesday practice, with Broncos HC Nathaniel Hackett saying that Wilson's safety "is the No. 1 priority" for the team.
Russell Wilson Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 15
If we read between the lines and factor in both the NFL's stricter concussion protocol, as well as Hackett's statement of precaution, we can consider Wilson a longshot to suit up against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15.
Brett Rypien entered the game in place of Wilson after his Week 14 injury and would be the Broncos' starter this week against Arizona if Wilson is unable to suit up. Even as Denver's starter, Rypien would carry little fantasy value and can be ignored as a waiver option.
