Rhamondre Stevenson Injury Update for Fantasy Football
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson left Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts and was stretched back on the sidelines after an apparent back injury. He returned to the game though, which was a good initial sign.
Just to be safe, the Patriots tested out Stevenson's back on Monday, but all tests came back negative. It turned out that his back just tightened up during the game and everything should be good to go with Stevenson.
While the team has a Week 11 bye, expect Stevenson to be good to go in Week 12 when the Patriots take on the New York Giants.
Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook
The bigger concern with Rhamondre Stevenson isn't injury; it's how this Patriots offense will look overall. Quarterback Mac Jones was benched on the final series of Week 10 for Bailey Zappe and there are a lot of questions about where the offense goes from here.
Zappe started two games last year and that was good news for Stevenson, who rushed for 161 yards in Zappe's start against the Lions and scored a pair of touchdowns in Zappe's start against the Browns.
A move to Zappe as the full-time quarterback could provide more upside going forward for Rhamondre Stevenson, who has yet to have a 100-yard rushing game this season but has rushed for over 80 yards in each of the last two games and has gone over 100 scrimmage yards both times. His needle is pointing up right now.
