In what seems to be a staggering amount of injuries around the league before the first Sunday of the season, some fantasy managers are already hounding the waiver wire and working through some contingency plans.
One of the names on the injury radar is Ravens WR Rashod Bateman.
Let's take a quick look at Bateman's status for Baltimore's Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans, and assess if he is worth a start in your lineup.

Is Rashod Bateman Playing In Week 1 Against The Houston Texans?
Rashod Bateman suffered a season-ending injury in Week 8 of the 2022 season, one that required a Lisfranc surgery that he has been working his way back from since.
HC John Harbaugh confirmed that Bateman is good to go for Sunday, and reports indicate that he will not be under any restrictions in regard to a snap count.
Should I Start Rashod Bateman In Week 1?
The Ravens invested heavily in their WR corps this offseason, signing free-agent Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year/$15 million dollar contract, as well as using their 2023 first-round pick on rookie WR Zay Flowers.
While this is the most talented group of WRs Lamar Jackson has had at his disposal, it's unclear exactly how each member will fit into newly hired OC Todd Monken's offensive scheme.
Bateman is the beneficiary of having an existing chemistry built with Jackson, but it is to be expected that Beckham Jr., Flowers, and TE Mark Andrews will take precedence in targets ahead of Bateman.
Bateman is a risky play until it's seen he will be a regular contributor to this Ravens passing attack, and should be avoided in lineups for Week 1 even in the event Andrews (quad) is ruled out of Sunday's matchup.
