Baltimore Ravens wide receiver looked to be in store for a breakout season after two big performances in Weeks 1 and 2. After two down weeks and a mention on the Ravens’ injury report, fantasy managers will need to evaluate his status heading into Week 5.
The Ravens are set to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday Night Football, so this will be one of those late-game injuries to monitor, at the risk of him being inactive after the early-game options have already been played.
As always, we’ll have the latest news leading up to the AFC North duel under the lights.

Rashod Bateman Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
Bateman went silent in the fourth quarter in the loss to the Buffalo Bills, leaving fantasy managers wondering what was going on. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he was dealing with a foot injury, keeping him out of the fourth quarter altogether.
Among the Ravens not practicing Wednesday:

Top wide receiver: Rashod Bateman (foot)

For now, Bateman is listed as day-to-day, but since he was forced out of action last week and hasn’t practiced yet this week, there’s a chance he could be out for Week 5. For now, it’s looking like a close call, so fantasy managers should stay updated on the latest news surrounding his status.
Should I Start Rashod Bateman in Week 5 if Active?
The Bengals aren’t a favorable matchup for wide receivers, but since the Baltimore defense is weak against wideouts, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd could be in for huge days. That said, this game could set up to be a shootout, and the Ravens might have to abandon their run-first approach to keep up.
Lamar Jackson has proven he’s able to compete in a passing-game shootout, so Bateman’s upside is high if he’s healthy and ready to roll – making him a strong Week 5 start.
If Bateman is out, Mark Andrews, Devin Duverney, and Demarcus Robinson should see more targets. Ultimately, Andrews is already a must-start, but Duverney would become an attractive play in all leagues, while Robinson would be a deep league dart-throw.
