Is Rashid Shaheed hurt or healthy? Is Rashid Shaheed playing again in 2024? Read the latest Rashid Shaheed fantasy football injury updates and outlook.
Shaheed has been a big-play threat for the Saints over the past two seasons and was starting to develop a larger role for the team in 2024, but a meniscus injury has derailed that.
Shaheed had surgery on Thursday. His meniscus was repaired during that surgery, which is set to keep him out for four-to-six months.
Update: Doctors wound repairing the meniscus in Saints’ WR Rashid Shaheed’s knee today and he now faces a four-to-six month recovery, per source. Shaheed was placed on injured reserve and his season is over. pic.twitter.com/tyz8RSdZgB
That's obviously not what fantasy managers want to hear about Shaheed, as it means he will not be back on the football field this season. He ends his season with 20 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns.
Rashid Shaheed Fantasy Football Outlook
While dynasty managers should hold on to Shaheed as he was on his way to a huge 2024 season, managers in redraft leagues can go ahead and drop Shaheed, as he won't return this season.
Once Chris Olave returns, he's a high-end WR2 as the team's lead receiver, but there's not much value behind him based on how things have gone.
Bub Means had one good game, but the rookie was held to three catches for 37 yards in a 33-10 loss to Denver on Thursday with both Olave and Shaheed out. It was a chance for Shaheed to shine, but it didn't happen.
Cedrick Wilson (17.7 ppr) is going to finish as a top 20 fantasy WR this week. 0% rostered 😂
Cedrick Wilson Jr. led the team with six catches for 57 yards and a touchdown and could have some appeal in deep leagues, but mostly this is a situation worth steering clear of for now until we have some more data.
