Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb is set to join Aaron Rodgers in New York. The Jets are set to sign Cobb to a one-year deal, reuniting the longtime teammates in the AFC East.
Cobb is 32 years old, but he has the most rapport with Rodgers, which could help his chances to be fantasy-relevant in 2023.
Is Cobb a good fit for the Jets and what can we expect from in fantasy football this season? Let's dive in.

Randall Cobb 2022 Season Review
In 13 games, Cobb caught 34 of his 50 targets for 417 yards and one touchdown. His best game came in Week 5 against the Giants, as he hauled in seven of 13 targets for 99 yards. However, he cooled off late in the season, failing to exceed 32 receiving yards from Week 12 to Week 18.
Ultimately, it wasn't a porous campaign for a 32-year-old wideout, but he has clearly lost a step from when he was producing 800-plus yard seasons regularly.
Randall Cobb 2023 Fantasy Outlook
Ultimately, this signing by the Jets feels like nothing more than a move to make Rodgers happy in his new home. Cobb will provide a familiar face for Rodgers as he acclimates to his new franchise, but there's a low chance he's a fantasy-relevant asset in 2023 unless the Jets' wide receiver room sees a ton of injuries.
The Jets' WR corps consists of Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, Mecole Hardman, Corey Davis, and Denzel Mims. Davis has been rumored to be a cut candidate all offseason, but until he is released, we have to consider him a part of the offense. Additionally, running back Breece Hall is a real weapon in the passing game, so he'll likely command a ton of volume from Rodgers, who has targeted the position often throughout his last few seasons.
When you put it all together, it's tough to find a way Cobb has a significant role in his 13th NFL season.
