The Miami Dolphins have had awful luck with injuries over the first two weeks of the 2024 NFL season. Tua Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve after suffering a concussion in the Week 2 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Unfortunately, the star quarterback isn’t the only injury the Dolphins have dealt with on offense. Raheem Mostert hasn’t played since the Week 1 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a chest injury.
Will the star running back play in Week 3, or will his injury force him to miss another game? Should fantasy players start Jeff Wilson Jr. or Jaylen Wright on Sunday if Mostert can’t play? Let’s dive into it.

Is Raheem Mostert Injured Or Playing In Week 3?
The veteran running back has struggled to stay healthy in his career. Last year, Mostert only missed two games because of injury. Unfortunately, the explosive runner is doubtful to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Fantasy players should expect him to miss his second consecutive game after barely practicing this week.

Should I Start Jeff Wilson Jr. Or Jaylen Wright?
Fantasy players should expect another massive performance from De'Von Achane with Mostert out of the lineup. Last week, the second-year running back had 22 rushing attempts for 96 yards, seven receptions for 69 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 26 half-point PPR fantasy points.
Unfortunately, that left little volume for Wilson and Wright. The veteran had two receptions for 12 receiving yards but left the game with an oblique injury. Thankfully, he is off the injury report and will play against the Seahawks.

Meanwhile, Wright had a quiet NFL debut in Week 2, totaling five rushing attempts for four yards and 0.4 fantasy points. While fantasy players should add him off the waiver wire as a long-term stash play, the rookie isn’t startable in any fantasy football this week.
The only Miami running back who is startable this week is Achane. Fantasy players should check their waiver wire for Bucky Irving and D'Onta Foreman if they need a last-minute replacement for Mostert.
