Is Raheem Mostert Hurt Or Healthy?
Veteran running back Raheem Mostert has been a key contributor for the Dolphins in his first season in South Beach. Mostert has rushed for 820 yards and three TDs, while also amassing 212 receiving yards and two scores on 29 catches.
Mostert was injured in Miami's regular-season finale against the New York Jets. He suffered a hand injury that was later diagnosed as a broken thumb. His availability for the Dolphins' Wild Card playoff matchup with the Buffalo Bills is in jeopardy.
Fantasy Football Outlook For Raheem Mostert This Week?
Those that are participating in playoff fantasy leagues or considering DFS options will want to monitor Mostert's practice status throughout the week. We've seen players suit up with broken fingers before, though the fact that he's dealing with an injured thumb does complicate the issue.
It isn't tough to envision Mostert's pass-catching role being downsized due to the injury and the Dolphins also have the effective Jeff Wilson Jr. in the backfield. Even if Mostert is able to suit up for the playoffs he should be considered a spotty fantasy option against a tough Buffalo Bills defense that finished the regular season ranked third in the NFL in Rush Defense DVOA.
