Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White was the 91st overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. White had a productive college career. He had 182 rushing attempts for 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season at Arizona State. White also had 43 receptions for 456 receiving yards and a touchdown that season.
More importantly, the former Arizona State star had a solid rookie year. He had 129 rushing attempts for 481 yards and a touchdown last season. However, White had a significant role in the passing game, totaling 50 receptions on 58 targets for 290 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, the second-year running back has been a popular breakout candidate this offseason after the Buccaneers released Leonard Fournette in March.

Is Rachaad White Injured Or Healthy?
The former Arizona State star went down in Sunday’s practice with a non-contact leg injury. It was a scary incident after White took a handoff. He buckled and fell to the ground. However, the second-year running back walked off under his own power and received attention from the trainers.
Thankfully, White appears to have avoided a significant injury. Head coach Todd Bowles said the incident scared the running back more than anything. More importantly, the former Arizona State star said he was fine.
Should I Draft Rachaad White At His ADP?
According to the RotoBaller ADP, White has a sixth-round ADP in a 12-team league as the 23rd running back off the board. Fantasy players are excited about the second-year player, given his expected featured role. Furthermore, the former Arizona State star showed upside in the passing game last year.
While White isn’t a bad pick at his ADP, I am slightly lower on the second-year running back than the ADP. The Buccaneers haven’t added any meaningful competition this offseason, signing Chase Edmonds and the undrafted free agent rookie Sean Tucker.
However, Kareem Hunt and Fournette are still available. While the team hasn’t brought in either for a workout, things could change with White’s minor injury. More importantly, the second-year running back wasn’t explosive last season.
The former Arizona State star had only 6.2% of his rushing attempts go for double-digit yards as a rookie. Furthermore, only 3.1% of his rushing attempts went for 15 or more yards. Meanwhile, White averaged only 3.7 yards per rushing attempt and 2.33 yards after contact per attempt.
