Is Odell Beckham Jr. A Good Fit for The Ravens?
According to the most reputable NFL insider in the world, ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Ravens offered the All-Pro WR a contract this week.
It's not clear what terms the team offered OBJ, but according to reports, he is seeking a one-year deal worth at least $15 million. That could prove to be an obstacle for the team as they only have $6.1 million remaining in cap space.
As things currently stand, it's difficult to analyze what impact the star would have on the Baltimore offense, mostly because their former all-world quarterback Lamar Jackson is now a free agent, and likely headed out of town. It is undeniable that Beckham Jr. would improve the Ravens' passing attack, however, the extent of that impact is yet to be determined based on who would be throwing him the football.
Which Other NFL Teams Are Pursuing Odell Beckham Jr.?
There are a plethora of teams in the NFL that could use an incredibly talented playmaker like Odell Beckham Jr. on their roster. However, the cost has to be right, and the potential relationship has to be mutually desired.
The Ravens clearly have an interest, but they aren't the only ones. According to multiple reports, the New York Jets are pursuing the pass catcher, particularly if they land quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a trade. Other organizations are rumored to be considering making a move for him, like the Patriots and Giants, but to this point, rumors are as far as it's gone.
Where will one of the most electric and captivating players and personalities in football land this offseason? Will his ultimate landing spot change the fantasy football landscape? It's unlikely that wherever he decides to call his next home, he will have anything more than a minimal impact on fantasy drafts come August, but stay tuned, because things could change in a heartbeat.
