Noah Brown Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Houston Texans wide receiver Noah Brown missed last week's game against the Colts with a back injury. Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston reported that his sources indicated it was a transverse process fracture that kept Brown out.
That definitely sounds scary, since it involves the word "fracture." What does it mean for his availability in the Wild Card Round?
According to Wilson, Brown is recovering from the injury and is making progress, but the team won't know more until later in the week. It's a situation worth monitoring and could likely go either way at this point.
Noah Brown Fantasy Football Outlook
The Texans were banged up at wide receiver this past weekend, leaving Nico Collins as the No. 1 option by a mile. He delivered, catching nine passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Even against a strong Browns pass defense this week, Collins is a strong DFS option if Brown remains out.
If Brown is back, the situation will be more complicated. No NFL team allowed fewer passing yards this season than Cleveland, so if the ball is being spread around, that could be bad news when it comes to stats.
Even if Noah Brown plays, he has over 40 receiving yards just once in his past five games. Sure, Brown had some explosive showings earlier in the season, but that was a long time ago at this point. He'd be a risky DFS option against this Cleveland Browns secondary, which held him to three catches for 38 yards in December.
