Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was the 89th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Collins had a solid college career, totaling 78 receptions for 1,388 yards and 13 touchdowns in three years at Michigan.
The former Wolverine had a productive rookie season. He had 33 receptions on 60 targets for 446 receiving yards and a touchdown in 14 games. The following year, Collins had 37 receptions on 66 targets for 481 receiving yards and two touchdowns last season.
Despite the limited production, the former Michigan receiver was a popular third-year breakout candidate this year. Collins was outstanding in Week 1, totaling six receptions on 11 targets for 80 receiving yards, scoring 11 half-point PPR fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens.

What Did Nico Collins Accomplish In Week 2?
Last week, the former Wolverine had another outstanding performance. He had seven receptions on nine targets for 146 receiving yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts. Collins was the WR4 in Week 2, scoring 24.1 fantasy points despite playing only 62% of the snaps.
Furthermore, the former Michigan wide receiver ranked fourth in receiving yards (146), second in yards after contact (38), and first in receptions of 15 or more yards (five) last week. He also earned a 91.4 PPF receiving game in Week 2.
Is Nico Collins A Good Fantasy Football Pickup For Week 3?
Fantasy players should have drafted Collins. The former Wolverine was a clear-cut third-year breakout candidate. Furthermore, he should have been added off the waiver wire after his Week 1 performance.
If Collins is still on the waiver wire in your league, the third-year player is worth 40-50% of your free agent acquisition budget. Last week, the former Michigan receiver was outstanding catching passes downfield, especially on in-breaking routes.
Surprisingly, the third-year receiver is available in nearly 40% of ESPN leagues. He is the top waiver wire target this week. However, if Collins isn't available, there are other good options.
One of my top targets this week is Tank Dell. The rookie wide receiver had a quiet Week 1 performance with three receptions on four targets for 34 receiving yards and 4.9 fantasy points. However, he was outstanding in Week 2 after the Texans placed Noah Brown on injured reserve.
Dell had seven receptions on 10 targets for 71 receiving yards and a touchdown. He had 16.7 fantasy points, making him the WR19 last week.
