Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb (knee) has been working his way back from a season-ending ACL tear he suffered in Week 2 of 2023. The injury looked bad enough that the television broadcast refused to show the replay if that tells you anything. It was a tough blow to one of the NFL's best at this stage of his career.
He didn't retire, though (obviously), and he has attacked rehab ever since. It's been a remarkable recovery, as he was seen squatting over 540 pounds in July, just eight months after his surgery.
So will Nick Chubb return to play in Week 7 for the Cleveland Browns?

Is Nick Chubb Playing in Week 7?
The seventh-year NFL veteran is expected to be back on the playing field in Week 7, marking his first start of the season. He wrote about his experience for The Players' Tribune, and it's an inspiring story to see from the outside. He's a fantastic running back, and the NFL is better when he's healthy and on the field.
Cleveland, you’ve had my back and now I’m ready to pay it forward. This one is for you. 🧡 @PlayersTribune https://t.co/FcSDrg07BY

Fantasy managers shouldn't be worried about him missing more time unless an unexpected setback occurs or he picks up an additional unrelated injury.
Nick Chubb Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook
It's unclear what his workload will be in Week 7, but fantasy managers can expect it to be artificially limited. Cleveland likely doesn't want to rush its best offensive player back into a workhorse role in his first game back from a devastating knee injury. His touches could be heavily restricted.
If there's anything that describes him, though, it's grit. He's a humble person and an incredibly hard worker, and his focus is purely on the game of football. He's massively talented, and it's unlikely that the Browns' offensive situation is discouraging to him at all. He defines "dawg" for the Dawg Pound.
Nick Chubb is an absolute dawg. I'm rooting for him.https://t.co/ELUaAlHK9G pic.twitter.com/GEfMqwvJTp

He probably won't put up week-winning numbers in Week 7 without a few long runs or a touchdown or two, but he has the talent to be a solid starter and is worth the risk of using an RB3/flex spot for. Many teams likely have better options, but it wouldn't hurt to put him in starting lineups in leagues with 12 or more teams.
