Veteran wide receiver Nelson Agholor has bounced around the NFL during his seven-year career. The former USC Trojan was a first-round by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Agholor spent the first five years of his career with the Eagles, totaling 224 receptions on 374 targets for 2,515 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. His best year was in 2017. That year the veteran wide receiver had 62 receptions on 95 targets for 758 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
However, the Eagles didn’t re-sign the former USC star after the 2019 season. Agholor spent one year with the Las Vegas Raiders, totaling 48 receptions on 82 targets for 896 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Then the veteran receiver signed a two-year deal with the New England Patriots during the 2021 offseason.

What Did Nelson Agholor Accomplish In 2022?
Unfortunately, the veteran wide receiver had a quiet time in New England. He totaled 37 receptions on 64 targets for 473 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 2021. Last year, Agholor saw his numbers decline with the additions of DeVante Parker and Tyquan Thornton.
The former USC Trojan had only 31 receptions on 53 targets for 362 receiving yards and two touchdowns in 2022. Despite the drop in his numbers, Agholor still made some plays downfield for the Patriots.
Is Nelson Agholor A Good Fit With The Ravens?
Baltimore has had a quiet offseason. However, they signed Agholor to a one-year deal worth $3.25 million.
While the veteran wide receiver hasn’t been a consistent player in his NFL career, Agholor should have a role in 2023. The Ravens have the worst wide receiver core in the league.
Last year they traded Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft. That left the team with Rashod Bateman and several low-end role players at wide receiver. Unfortunately, Bateman missed 11 games last year because of injury, leaving the Ravens scrambling.
Adding Agholor isn’t a massive move for Baltimore. However, he is an upgrade over Demarcus Robinson, Devin Duvernay, and Tylan Wallace. The veteran wide receiver will give Jackson a veteran downfield option opposite Bateman.
However, fantasy players shouldn’t expect much from the former USC Trojan. The Ravens will likely add a wide receiver during the 2023 NFL Draft. More importantly, Mark Andrews and Bateman are the focal points of the team’s passing attack.
