Is Miles Sanders Playing In Week 6 Against the Dolphins?
Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders is one of a handful of Panthers players who have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. Sanders has been dealing with a shoulder injury.
Through five games, Sanders has 61 carries for 190 yards and a touchdown. He's also caught 15 passes for 81 yards. Last week against the Lions, he had seven carries for 32 yards.
Is Chuba Hubbard Starting In Week 6 Against the Dolphins?
The Panthers are set to start Chuba Hubbard at running back in Week 6 with Miles Sanders sidelined, but he won't be the only person getting touches in the backfield.
Hubbard is currently second on the Panthers in rushing attempts and rushing yards, carrying the ball 35 times for 154 yards. He's expected to serve as the lead back, but ESPN's David Newton reports that Laviska Shenault Jr. will see touches as well. Raheem Blackshear may see touches as well.
Last week against the Lions, Hubbard had nine carries for 35 yards to lead the Panthers, while Shenault had five carries for 27 yards. The Panthers will likely use a committee approach on Sunday.
Should I Start Chuba Hubbard In Week 6?
Chuba Hubbard should be viewed as a fantasy RB3 on Sunday against the Dolphins. While he's a talented player, there are some things working against his value.
The fact that Shenault and Blackshear will take some of the touches hurts Hubbard's upside. Another issue is that the Panthers are likely to be playing from behind in this one against a high-powered Dolphins offense. That would lead to fewer rushing attempts and could potentially mean more of a Shenault, who also plays wide receiver.
