Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams has played well this year. Unfortunately, the former Clemson Tiger has struggled with injuries.
This year the veteran wide receiver has missed four games because of a high-ankle sprain he suffered in Week 7 against the Seattle Seahawks. Williams returned in Week 11 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, the star receiver left the game after only six snaps because he aggregated the injured ankle.
The former first-round pick has missed the past two weeks recovering from the injury. However, is Williams ready to play against the Miami Dolphins this week?

Is Mike Williams Playing In Week 14?
Williams was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice with the ankle injury. However, he was a full go in practice on Thursday and Friday. The Chargers took the star receiver off their final injury report. He will play Sunday night against Miami.
While the star receiver is off the injury report and ready to play, should fantasy players put him in their starting lineups?
Should I Start Mike Williams In Week 14?
The short answer to this question is yes. Williams has averaged 11 half-point PPR fantasy points per game this season. However, he has averaged 12.3 fantasy points per game this year if you remove the matchup against the Chiefs. His 12.3 fantasy points per game average would make him the WR16 on a points-per-game basis.
Furthermore, the Los Angeles offense has been destroyed by injuries this year. Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, and Williams have been on the field at the same time for only 46 snaps this season. Of the 841 offensive snaps by the team, only 5.5% had all three players on the field at the same time this year.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins have held wide receivers to 26.3 fantasy points per game, slightly below the league average. However, they have faced several limited passing attacks lately. When Miami has faced explosive offensive like the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, and Minnesota Vikings, their defense has struggled.
In the three matchups against those teams this year, wide receivers have averaged 207.7 receiving yards and 35.6 fantasy points per game against the Dolphins. Williams is a plug-and-play WR2 for Week 14.
