Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams has played well this year when healthy.
However, the former first-round pick has dealt with injuries this season. Williams suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 7. After sitting out the bye week and the next two games, the former Clemson star returned last week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Unfortunately, Williams re-aggravated the ankle injury early in the game. He played only six snaps before leaving the game early because of the injury.

Is Mike Williams Playing In Week 12?
While the team and fantasy players hoped Williams would play this week, he didn’t practice all week. On Friday, the Chargers ruled the sixth-year receiver out for Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals because of the injury.
With Williams out this week, Keenan Allen and Joshua Palmer will see an uptick in snaps and targets on Sunday. Last week, both wide receivers played well against the Chiefs. However, Palmer was outstanding.
Should I Start Joshua Palmer For Fantasy Football?
The second-year receiver was unstoppable last week against Kansas City. He was the WR3 for the week, scoring 26.6 fantasy points. Palmer had eight receptions on 10 targets for 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Chiefs, including the first touchdown in the game.
Fantasy players shouldn’t expect the former Tennessee star to put up the same numbers again this week. Allen had 9.9 fantasy points last week as he played only 68% of the snaps in his first game back from a hamstring injury. He is still the No. 1 wide receiver on the team.
However, Palmer has played well this season, filling in for Allen and Williams. He is the WR32 for the year, averaging 10.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Tennessee star has totaled 10.2 or more fantasy points in 56% of the games this season, including three of his past four contests.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals have surrendered 26.4 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, slightly above the league average. However, they have given up 31.4 fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past five weeks. Furthermore, wide receivers have seven receiving touchdowns against Arizona during that span.
Palmer is not a must-start with Williams out this week. However, fantasy players can start him with confidence as a low-end WR2.
