New York Jets quarterback Mike White came out of nowhere last season to electrify the Jets' offense. After spending three years on practice squads and attempting no passes, he threw for 405 yards in his first career start in Week 8 last season.

He put up impressive numbers again when replacing Zach Wilson in Week 12 this season. He threw for over 300 yards in his first two starts this season and might have done so again in Week 14 if he didn't have to leave the field for half a dozen plays after continuously getting pummeled in the ribs.
White was a top-10 QB for his first two starts of this season. He was a solid pickup for single QB leagues and an elite QB2 in Superflex leagues. In the fantasy playoff semifinals week, the Jets play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football, and White doesn't have much time to rehab. Will he be able to play?
Mike White Injury Updates for Fantasy Football
Mike White tried to play last week. He tried hard. After the Jets' team doctors did not clear him to play, he asked 10 other doctors for their opinions. They all urged him not to play.
"And I completely understand why. But I mean, I'm always going to try to fight like hell to be out on the field with my guys, so it's frustrating. ... I tried my best," White told reporters in the locker room.
Mike White Injury News
White has three rib fractures, and it's no mystery how he got them. He took some brutal hits from blitzing Bills defenders. The 27-year-old was sent to the sidelines briefly, and Joe Flacco went in for seven plays, but White showed incredible toughness and went back into the game, where he took more hits. After the game, he went to the hospital.
Ian Rapoport reported last Sunday that White would miss at least two weeks. He probably wouldn't play in Week 16, even if the game were on Sunday. Given that the game is on Thursday, there is no chance he will suit up.
Is Mike White Injured or Playing in Week 16 Fantasy Football?
White has been ruled out for the Jets' Week 16 showdown with the Jaguars. The two teams are battling for one of the AFC's final playoff spots. On Monday morning, the Jets were still slightly optimistic. Coach Robert Saleh said White would have some scans done.
But now it's official: Zach Wilson is starting. If you need a new quarterback to replace White, then you are probably down two or three quarterbacks this season and need all the help you can get. So take a look at the waiver wire options in our RotoBaller Waiver Wire Pickups List.
