New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas hasn't played a full season since his 2019 campaign -- when he broke the single-season record for receptions (149). He played in seven games in 2022, no games in 2021, and just three games in 2023.
Needless to say, time is running out for the now 30-year-old wideout to get healthy and make an impact -- and we have his latest injury update for fantasy football.
Is Thomas healthy or injured and what is his 2023 fantasy football outlook? Let's get into it.

Michael Thomas Injury Update For Fantasy Football
According to Saints head coach Dennis Allen, Thomas (toe) recently had hardware removed from his injured foot. The team has already said Thomas will be ready for camp, but we've heard this story before, so we'll wait and see if he actually suits up at the beginning of camp and early on in the season.
The expectation is that Chris Olave will take over as the No. 1, which could make Thomas an interesting sleeper option if he's healthy. Again, that will be a big question mark for the third season in a row.
Michael Thomas 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
Derek Carr is slated to be the team's starting quarterback after spending nine seasons as the Raiders' signal-caller. While Carr may not be in the elite category with players like Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow -- he's had a solid career of production. Carr has thrown for at least 3,900 yards in six of his nine seasons and topped 20 passing touchdowns in eight of the nine campaigns.
We've seen Carr support plenty of fantasy-relevant pass-catchers, including Darren Waller, Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, Michael Crabtree, and Amari Cooper. That said, he is a nice upgrade from Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton from last season.
Ultimately, Olave is expected to be a fantasy stud in 2023 after posting over 1,000 yards as a rookie, and Thomas should carve out a productive role as the team's No. 2 wideout. Juwan Johnson, Foster Moreau, Rashid Shaheed, James Washington, and A.T. Perry don't present fierce target competition, so if the Saints offense takes a step forward in a weak division and conference, Thomas should have flex appeal in all formats.
