Is Mecole Hardman Playing In Week 10 Against the Jaguars?
It has been a true breakout year for Chiefs' wide receiver Mecole Hardman. Filling the large void left by Tyreek Hill, Hardman has played better as the season has progressed. He has posted 226 yards with three TDs over Kansas City's last four games and currently stands as the overall WR24 in standard fantasy leagues.
Unfortunately, Hardman has been battling an abdomen injury throughout the week. He has not been able to practice in any of the Chiefs' sessions ahead of their Week 10 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After logging DNPs each day this week, Hardman has been officially ruled out for Week 10 against the Jaguars.
Should I Pickup And Start Kadarius Toney In Week 10?
With Hardman officially ruled out for Week 10, we know that some notable usage will open up in this Kansas City passing attack. What isn't clear is who will step into Hardman's role. Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, and Justin Watson are all candidates to inherit all - or part - of Hardman's workload.
Toney is perhaps the most intriguing candidate from a fantasy perspective due to his explosive play-making ability. He only recently joined the Chiefs via a trade with the New York Giants and made his debut with the team last week against the Tennessee Titans. Toney was used sparingly in his debut and caught two passes for 12 yards on just six routes run.
Guessing which receiver will get the usage in this Andy Reid offense is akin to a shell game. Toney captured the fantasy football world's imagination when he dropped 189 yards on 10 catches in Week 5 last year and he feels like the candidate with the most upside, but fantasy managers should treat him as a boom-or-bust option this week.
