Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver finally returned to the lineup in the AFC Championship Game after missing 10 weeks with a pelvis injury. However, he's back in the injury headlines and his status is in doubt for Super Bowl 57 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Hardman might not be a must-have stud in DFS contests and playoff fantasy leagues, but his availability does affect other Chiefs' offensive skill players, so he does have an impact on the big game.
Is Hardman playing on Sunday in the Super Bowl? How does his status affect others in DFS contests? Let's get into it.

Mecole Hardman Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The Chiefs placed Hardman (pelvis) on Injured Reserve on Monday. Hardman initially suffered a core injury back in Week 9 that landed him on Injured Reserve, but he returned to play in the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals. He didn't last long, playing only 15 offensive snaps before aggravating his injury. The 24-year-old pass-catcher was hoping to play in the Super Bowl this Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, but that will not happen now.
JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee) and Mecole Hardman (hamstring/ankle) were also banged up in the win over the Bengals, so there are more Chiefs' pass-catchers to keep an eye on.
Mecole Hardman Availability Fallout
With Hardman out of action, it simply takes away one option to consider for DFS contests. Assuming Smith-Schuster and Toney are good to go, there are still plenty of decisions to make when it comes to who to pair with Mahomes in Chiefs' offense stacks.
Along with Toney and Smith-Schuster, Travis Kelce, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Skyy Moore, and Justin Watson are considerations. However, running backs Jerick McKinnon, Isiah Pacheco, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (expected to play) could be factors this weekend, too.
Eliminating Hardman as an option makes finding the right DFS formula easier, but there are still a ton of options on a team that likes to switch up its game plan each week. Don't be surprised if any of the players listed are featured heavily next to the obvious choice of Kelce.
