Is Matthew Stafford Playing In Week 13 Against the Seattle Seahawks?
After leading the Rams to a Super Bowl title last year, 2022 has been a completely different story for Matthew Stafford. The veteran has missed two games this season due to concussions and is now also dealing with a neck injury.
Despite clearing the NFL's concussion protocol, Stafford has already been ruled out for the team's Week 13 game against the Seattle Seahawks by Rams HC Sean McVay. Due to L.A.'s woeful record, as well as Stafford's complication with a neck injury, McVay didn't rule out the possibility that his star QB could be shut down for the remainder of the season, per ESPN's Sarah Barshop.
Should I Pick Up and Start John Wolford In Week 13?
The Rams' backup QB John Wolford will get the start against Seattle in Week 13 in place of Stafford. Wolford himself missed last week's game against Kansas City with a neck injury.
While Wolford has already been named the Rams' starter for the upcoming week, there's a lingering possibility that L.A.'s other QB, Bryce Perkins, could also see playing time in Week 13, according to the The Athletic's Jordan Rodrigue. Perkins got the starting nod for the Rams in Week 12.
There's a lot going on with the Rams' quarterback spot at the moment. The only things we know for certain are that Matthew Stafford will be out in Week 13 and neither Wolford nor Perkins are viable fantasy options against Seattle. Fantasy managers can confidently avoid this messy situation.
