The former Bulldog spent the first 12 years of his career with the Lions. He completed 62.6% of his pass attempts for 45,109 yards and 282 touchdowns, compared to 144 interceptions in 165 games. However, Stafford got traded to the Rams after over a decade with Detroit.
Stafford won the Super Bowl in his first year with the Rams. The veteran quarterback has completed 65.7% of his pass attempts for 9,043 yards and 59 touchdowns compared to 32 interceptions in 34 games with the franchise. Unfortunately, the former No. 1 overall pick has dealt with multiple injuries in his career.

Matthew Stafford Injury Update For Fantasy Football
The veteran quarterback played all 17 games in his first year in Los Angeles. However, he missed eight games last season because of injuries. Stafford didn’t play in the Week 9 loss to the Green Bay Packers because of a thumb injury he suffered the week before against the Dallas Cowboys.
With the former Georgia star unable to play, Brett Rypien made his first start of the year. Unfortunately, he struggled, completing 46.4% of his pass attempts for 130 yards and an interception. Rypien scored only 3.1 fantasy points in the loss.
Matthew Stafford Fantasy Football Outlook
When Stafford suffered the injury in Week 9, the team feared he would miss multiple weeks. However, the veteran quarterback nearly played against the Packers. Meanwhile, head coach Sean McVay says the team is optimistic the former Georgia star will play following the team’s Week 10 bye.
Fantasy players can’t wait for Stafford to return. Last week, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua severely struggled without the franchise quarterback. Kupp had two receptions on seven targets for 48 receiving yards, scoring 5.8 half-point PPR fantasy points. Meanwhile, Nacua had three receptions on seven targets for 32 receiving yards, scoring 4.7 fantasy points in the loss.
Both wide receivers were playing well before Stafford got hurt in Week 8. Hopefully, the veteran quarterback is back to 100% healthy after having two weeks to rest his finger injury.
