Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown was the 25th overall pick by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft. Brown had an excellent college career, totaling 132 receptions for 2,413 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns at Oklahoma.
The former Sooner had a productive rookie season, totaling 46 receptions on 71 targets for 584 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He finished second on the team in receiving touchdowns that year, only behind Mark Andrews. Brown’s play improved the following season, totaling 58 receptions on 100 targets for 769 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
However, he had a breakout year in 2021. That season the former Oklahoma star had 91 receptions on 146 targets for 1,008 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Brown set career highs in receptions, targets, and receiving yards that year. Despite the career year, the Ravens traded the veteran wide receiver to the Cardinals during the 2022 NFL Draft.

Is Marquise Brown Injured Or Healthy?
Last year Brown missed five games with a foot injury. While he played in the final six contests without a problem, the Cardinals were cautious with the veteran’s foot this offseason. However, the former Oklahoma star was ready for Day 1 of training camp.
Unfortunately, head coach Jonathan Gannon says Brown is dealing with some nicks and bruises. However, it sounds like the team is being overly cautious with the former Oklahoma star receiver’s health.
Should I Draft Marquise Brown?
While the Cardinals had one of the worst records in the NFL in 2022, Brown had a solid season. The veteran wide receiver had 67 receptions on 107 targets for 709 receiving yards and three touchdowns last year. He led the team in receptions and targets while finishing second in receiving yards and touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brown was a fantasy superstar over the first six weeks last year without DeAndre Hopkins. The veteran was the WR6, averaging 14.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game during those six weeks. Furthermore, the former Oklahoma star averaged nearly 10 targets per game in the eight contests he played with Hopkins, averaging over 1.6 yards per route run in those matchups.
With Hopkins in Tennessee and Zach Ertz likely to miss part of the year recovering from a torn ACL, Brown is the only proven pass catcher on the roster. Hopefully, the veteran wide receiver is healthy heading into Week 1. If he is, Brown is one of my favorite wide receivers to draft this year.
