Leonard Fournette Fantasy Football Outlook
Last season, Leonard Fournette played 16 games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, running the ball 189 times for 668 yards and three touchdowns. He also added 73 receptions for 523 yards and three touchdowns.
It was a solid year for Fournette, but the former No. 4 overall pick was released in February. He wasn't able to land with any NFL teams during free agency. On Oct. 31, Fournette joined the Buffalo Bills practice squad.
The expectation when Leonard Fournette was signed was that he would replace Latavius Murray's role, but Murray is coming off a strong Week 10 performance. He had nine carries for 68 yards and a touchdown in the 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Should I Start Leonard Fournette in Week 11?
The Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey this week, so there's really a lot of mystery heading into this week about what this offense will look like. Murray could remain the goal-line back, but interim OC Joe Brady could wind up wanting Leonard Fournette on the field.
Regardless, the uncertainty here means that fantasy managers shouldn't take a risk on Leonard Fournette this week. His ability to be a three-down back makes him an appealing fantasy option if anything happens to starter James Cook, but we don't even know if Fournette will be promoted to the active roster this week.
He's worth adding off the fantasy football waiver wire as a speculative add, but Leonard Fournette should be far away from your starting lineup in Week 11 when the Bills face the New York Jets.
