Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (back, knee) is the best quarterback in fantasy football in 2024. The addition of star running back Derrick Henry has brought the already good offense to new heights, allowing both players to maximize the contributions of their skill sets.
Jackson is putting together another MVP-caliber season, having already thrown 17 touchdowns with just two interceptions and rushing for 501 yards and two touchdowns through eight games. He looks like the best quarterback in the league on film, and he runs the most productive offense.
So, is Jackson hurt or healthy, and will he suit up for Week 9? Here is the latest update on the status of the Ravens' quarterback.

Is Lamar Jackson Hurt? Injury Update for Week 9
Last year's MVP is apparently suffering from knee and back issues and missed his team's practice Wednesday. This shouldn't be much of a concern to fantasy managers, though. Wednesday is usually a veteran's rest day, and some players hardly practice at all that day later in their careers.
Lamar Jackson's injury news has everyone on edge. If he doesn't play, it's a miracle for some, but Josh Johnson might be the superflex hero. He'll pass more to Diontae if he suits up. Bookmark this.

There hasn't been any word that he's in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. His statuses on Thursday and Friday will be much more revealing about his situation. There's no reason to panic yet, but especially in deeper leagues, it's a good idea to have a second quarterback rostered in case of emergency.
Lamar Jackson Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 9
He's the QB1, so he starts no matter what, and there's not much else to it. As has been the case for years now, he's capable of winning fantasy managers their weeks by putting up huge numbers. His upside may not be what it was during his MVP season, but he's the best you can get at the position right now.
Every angle of Lamar Jackson's insane stiff-arm touchdown vs. the Bengals that may be his greatest highlight ever. 💪😈 pic.twitter.com/reBzzsi8P8

His mobility allows him to rush for huge gains and extend plays far beyond what the average quarterback can, which allows him to consistently perform very well. There's no reason to bench him if he plays, even if he enters the game with an injury designation.
