NFL Sunday is nearly underway in Week 10, but there are still some injuries to sort through. One of the more notable injury storylines to follow comes from Los Angeles, where Rams rookie running back Kyren Williams is nearing his return to the field.
It's no secret that the Rams' backfield has been abysmal this season, so getting Williams back could give the team a much-needed boost as they look to get back on track in the NFC West.

Is Kyren Williams Playing In Week 10?
Williams suffered a high-ankle sprain on special teams prior to the Rams' opening drive on offense back in Week 1. He was subsequently placed on injured reserve and underwent surgery. However, his recovery has gone well, creating plenty of optimism about his potential Week 10 return.
Indeed, the Rams announced on Saturday that they have activated Williams from injured reserve. In a corresponding move, veteran running back Malcolm Brown was waived. Officially, Williams will be active for Week 10 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Should I Start Kyren Williams In Week 10 of Fantasy Football?
Prior to Week 1, ESPN's Adam Schefter praised Williams, hinting that the rookie could see a much larger workload than expected. While that never came to fruition due to Willams' injury, it shows that the Rams are very confident in the rookie's ability to handle a large volume of touches in the NFL.
Since Schefter planted his flag in favor of Williams, Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. have proven to be disappointments in the backfield, combining for just 407 rushing yards, 109 receiving yards, and three touchdowns. The Rams have fallen to 3-5 and need some life injected into their backfield. Perhaps Williams can do just that.
Williams should be stashed in most redraft and all dynasty leagues. He has an opportunity to emerge as the Rams' lead back as soon as Week 10, and if that happens, your odds of picking him up on waivers next week are slim. Behave proactively and add Williams before it's too late.
With that said, it's a bit too early to insert Williams into your starting lineups unless you are absolutely desperate. It sounds like he's 100 percent healthy, but without any NFL game experience, the Rams likely won't thrust him into the lead-back role immediately. He needs to earn his snaps in the offense, and until he does so, he should be left on your bench.
