Is Kyle Pitts Hurt Or Healthy?
Atlanta's star tight end Kyle Pitts was injured in Week 11 against the Chicago Bears. It was initially hoped that Pitts had dodged a major injury, but further tests revealed a Grade 2 MCL injury to his knee.
Pitts was placed on Injured Reserve shortly after the extent of the injury was diagnosed. The second-year phenom underwent surgery and Atlanta HC Arthur Smith recently confirmed that he would be out for the remainder of the 2022 season.
Kyle Pitts Fantasy Football Outlook for 2022
Unfortunately, Pitts won't see the field again in 2022.
While his fantasy managers will walk away from this season disappointed with both his production and the season-ending injury, Pitts' underlying metrics suggest that he will eventually blossom into a fantasy star at the difficult TE position. At the time of his injury, he ranked first in the NFL at the TE position in aDOT and Air Yards. GMs in standard fantasy leagues have already been forced to find replacement options, but those that have Pitts in dynasty formats should remain locked in for the long haul.
