Khalil Hebert Latest Injury Update
Herbert was not activated from IR, so he is officially OUT for Thursday Night Football
Is Khalil Herbert Playing In Week 10?
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert last played on Oct. 5 against the Commanders, carrying the ball 10 times for 76 yards before injuring his ankle. He has 51 carries for 272 yards on the season as well as 10 receptions for 83 yards and a score.
Herbert is eligible to return to the field this week, but it sounds like the third-year running back won't suit up, pushing his anticipated return date to Week 11. He joins quarterback Justin Fields on the sidelines again this week as the Bears offense remains depleted by injuries.
Khalil Herbert's next chance to play will come against the Detroit Lions on Nov. 19. The Bears will be on the road for that divisional game.
Should I Start D'Onta Foreman for Fantasy Football Week 10?
Despite being a healthy scratch at times when Khalil Herbert was healthy, D'Onta Foreman has emerged as the primary back with Herbert sidelined, beating out rookie Roschon Johnson for that role. Johnson has mainly served as an option in the passing game.
Last week against the Saints, Foreman carried the ball 20 times, gaining 83 yards in the team's 24-17 loss. With Herbert not expected to play on Thursday night, Foreman should once again serve as the team's lead back.
Foreman might not be the most explosive back in the league, but his anticipated volume makes him a solid RB2 play on Thursday night as he takes on his former team, the Carolina Panthers. Foreman spent the 2022 season in Carolina, where he had 914 rushing yards and five touchdowns last season.
