Will Kenneth Walker III Play In Week 1?
As per the latest reports, Kenneth Walker is cleared to play in Week 1 and will have no limitations. This is a huge boost for the Seahawks offense, as the promising running back will be properly utilized.
The franchise drafted another running back in the form of Zach Charbonnet, and he certainly will ease the workload on Walker, but the Michigan State product is expected to take the majority of the snaps.
Should You Start Kenneth Walker III?
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is also available to play, allowing Geno Smith to throw to three very talented receivers in the form of Tyler Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, and Smith-Njigba himself. This will create even more running lanes for Walker, who could have a monster game against a Rams team that is not particularly formidable.
Last season, the 22-year-old running back played 15 games in which he recorded 228 carries for 1,050 yards and scored nine touchdowns. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry. In the two games that he played against the Rams last year, Walker had 32 carries for 150 yards. In his second game, when he was more proficient with the team's offense, he rushed for 114 yards.
He is definitely worth starting in Week 1, as he has the potential to exploit the Rams with his explosiveness and help his team start the season with a win.
