After an up and down 2023, Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (abdomen) picked up an injury during a good effort Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Walker III still had a great game, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown and picking up six receiving yards, good for 18.9 full-PPR fantasy points.
Is Walker III still injured? Will Walker III play in Week 2 against the Patriots?

Kenneth Walker III Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Walker III picked up an abdomen injury late in the Seahawks game against the Broncos Sunday. Walker came off the field after appearing to be in pain.
Kenneth Walker just got hurt on that carry. Abdomen area. Winced in middle of play and then came off. #Seahawks

Walker III has somewhat of a history of injuries, especially abdominal/hernia-related. It could be concerning if he got another hernia or reaggravated the oblique injury he picked up in November 2023.
Kenneth Walker -
Questionable with an Abdomen injury.
Has a long history of groin injuries and sports hernia surgery, so this may be a little more concerning than typical. Hopefully it’s not another sports hernia or oblique/abdominal tear. https://t.co/cZDYcl0kjS pic.twitter.com/ZgmEgaYppW— Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) September 8, 2024
We don't have more data than that it is an abdominal injury, so everything other than that is speculation, but previous history of the same type of injury is notable. However, given our current lack of data, there's not much more to do except wait for further updates from the team or credible sources.
Kenneth Walker III Fantasy Football Outlook
Walker III stated "I'm good" when asked about the injury in a post-game interview. Walker III's confidence in his health post-injury is a good sign for fantasy managers.

Walker III will likely undergo medical testing to determine the extent of the injury, so at this point, it's difficult to determine the extent of the injury or the chance that he will miss time or be limited in future games.
Walker III has an enticing combination of speed, vision, and burst, and he has had many explosive gains throughout his career. While his per-game scoring in 2023 didn't match his excellent 2022 season, Walker III is a start-and-forget player in any standard-sized league.
Even if he's limited, he has a history of scoring long touchdowns, and just one of these can be week-winning in fantasy. Lock Walker III into your lineups if he plays, regardless of injury status.
