Kendre Miller Injury Update for Fantasy Football
New Orleans Saints rookie running back Kendre Miller suffered an ankle injury on Sunday when the Saints faced the Chicago Bears. At the time he suffered the injury, Miller had barely touched the ball. He had a 31-yard reception and one carry for zero yards.
Overall, Miller played just six offensive snaps before exiting. It was the third game in a row that Miller has played single-digit snaps.
Miller officially suffered an ankle sprain, though it's not yet clear how long the rookie will be out, if at all. His injury status will likely become more apparent after the results of the imaging he underwent are made public. For now, fantasy managers should be wary of his Week 10 availability, as ankle sprains can be tough to return from immediately.
Kendre Miller Fantasy Football Outlook
Coming into the season, there were high hopes about the outlook of rookie Kendre Miller. After rushing for 1,399 yards and 17 touchdowns at TCU last year, he looked like someone who could make an impact while Alvin Kamara was suspended.
Instead, Miller has double-digit carries just once this season. Back in Week 5, he had 37 rushing and 53 receiving yards against New England. Outside of that game, Miller hasn't had fantasy relevance.
At this point, fantasy managers don't really need to worry about the Week 10 injury outlook for Miller. While his 31-yard reception was exciting, the first-year back just isn't getting the touches he needs to produce fantasy-relevant numbers. If he plays, he'll likely see five or fewer touches. If he doesn't play, there's not really any particular player who receives a fantasy boost.
