Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen has had an outstanding career. He finished second in the Offensive Rookie of the Year award race in 2013. More importantly, the veteran wide receiver has made the Pro Bowl in six of the past seven years.
The one season he failed to make the Pro Bowl was in 2022 -- after missing seven games with injuries. Allen had at least 990 receiving yards and six touchdowns every year of his career since 2017 except the injury-plagued season in 2022.
However, the star wide receiver’s fantasy value drastically changed after getting traded from the Los Angeles Chargers to the Bears this offseason.

Keenan Allen’s 2023 Season Review
Allen missed the final four games last year with an injury, yet he still had 108 receptions (career-high) on 150 targets for 1,243 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He also had a passing touchdown last season, tossing a 49-yard score to Mike Williams.

Allen was the WR8 in half-point PPR scoring, totaling more fantasy points than Stefon Diggs, Davante Adams, and Calvin Ridley despite playing four fewer games than the three veterans. Furthermore, Tyreek Hill (19.8) and CeeDee Lamb (19.7) were the only wide receivers to average more fantasy points per game than Allen last year.
Is Keenan Allen Still A Fantasy Football WR1 With The Chicago Bears?
While the veteran is coming off a massive season, fantasy players can’t draft him as their WR1 in 2024. Allen won’t see the same target volume with the Bears he did with the Chargers. Chicago has two other talented wide receivers on the roster – DJ Moore and Rome Odunze.
Last year, Moore was the WR10 on a points-per-game basis, averaging 14 fantasy points per contest. Meanwhile, Odunze was a top wide receiver in the NFL Draft. He could be a star as a rookie.

Fantasy players should draft Allen as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3. He has missed time with injuries in back-to-back years, has significant competition for targets, and will catch passes from a rookie quarterback.
