Will Kareem Hunt Play in 2023?
The former Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns running back went on visits with the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, and Minnesota Vikings this offseason, so we can assume he is interested in playing during the 2023 campaign.
Hunt regressed last season, posting 678 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns in 17 games. The Browns fed Nick Chubb more than ever before, and Hunt fell off the fantasy radar. However, he could still be a serviceable committee back if he lands the right opportunity and could be worth picking up in fantasy leagues.
Which Teams Could Sign Kareem Hunt This Season?
With J.K. Dobbins out for the season after suffering a torn Achilles, the Baltimore Ravens could be interested in bringing in Hunt. Baltimore likes to use a running back-by-committee approach, and Hunt could slot in as an immediate producer alongside Justice Hill and Gus Edwards. It's worth noting Melvin Gordon is on the roster, too.
Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is out for at least another three weeks and Evan Hull (knee) was recently placed on Injured Reserve, so the Colts could give Hunt a look after hosting him on a visit this offseason. Zack Moss and Deon Jackson lack high-end receiving skills, so Hunt could be a complementary receiving with for Taylor when he returns to action.
While those are the two most obvious destinations, running backs around the league always suffer minor or major injuries, so the landing spots are endless as the season moves along. Hunt's days as a fantasy RB1 are likely over, but he could be a deep league PPR FLEX option when he signs with a new organization.
