Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been on a rollercoaster ride through the first 11 games of the 2022 season. The ride has been a wild one, with the most recent part of the trip uncomfortably bumpy.
The Chiefs wideout has been surprisingly successful recently in head coach Andy Reid's offensive scheme; however, one thing has gotten in his way. He has been bitten by the injury bug the last few weeks, the latest being an illness that kept him out of Wednesday's practice.
This leaves fantasy managers wondering about the Kansas City receiver. Is he injured? Will he play in Week 13? Let's dive in.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Health Updates for Fantasy Football
Here's the good news. JuJu returned from his illness to practice in full on Thursday. He was a full participant, meaning he should be good to go for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Here's the bad news. He also recently suffered a concussion in Week 10 against Jacksonville. After missing one week of game action, he was back on the field last Sunday against the Rams and wasn't productive.
Smith-Schuster had only three targets, catching all three for 38 yards. It was a day to forget for one of the Chiefs' primary pass catchers.
Is JuJu Smith-Schuster Playing in Week 13 Fantasy Football?
The Chiefs' dynamic offense has been the best in the NFL in 2022, averaging 29.6 points per game. What does that mean? If Smith-Schuster is healthy, he will have his opportunities, and he should be starting on fantasy rosters.
Outside of tight end Travis Kelce, there is nobody quarterback Patrick Mahomes likes throwing the ball to more than Smith-Schuster. Prior to his concussion, from Weeks 6-9, he was absolutely on fire, averaging 8.3 targets and 108 receiving yards while securing two touchdowns over a three-game stretch.
It appears that barring a setback, Smith-Schuster should be all systems go for Week 13 in a huge matchup against the Bengals, which figures to be a guaranteed shootout. Fantasy managers hope that if he does suit up for the game, he starts performing again as he did prior to his concussion, during his hot stretch in late October. Smith-Schuster has plenty of Week 13 fantasy appeal in an anticipated high-scoring affair with the Bengals, so feel confident sliding him into fantasy lineups if there are no unforeseen issues leading up to Sunday.
