Is Joshua Palmer Playing In Week 9 Against The Falcons?
After suffering a concussion in Week 6 against the Denver Broncos, Joshua Palmer was forced to miss L.A.'s Week 7 tilt against the Seattle Seahawks. With the Chargers on a bye last week, Palmer has now had ample time to recover.
Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said Tuesday that Palmer had cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and resumed practicing with the squad.
The former Tennessee Vol has been listed as a full practice participant both Wednesday and Thursday this week. Palmer himself expressed confidence that he would be ready to go against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9.
Should I Start Joshua Palmer In Week 9?
The Los Angeles Chargers receiving corps continues to be bitten by the injury bug in 2022. With L.A. receiver Mike Williams expected to miss extended time with an ankle injury suffered in Week 7, and star wideout Keenan Allen looking very doubtful for Week 9 due to a lingering hamstring injury, there will be plenty of opportunity for Joshua Palmer to make an impact this week.
He draws a dreamy Week 9 matchup against an Atlanta Falcons secondary that's been significantly depleted by injuries and ranks dead last in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game. Palmer's workload in this L.A. offense makes him a worthy WR3/FLEX option for the foreseeable future.
