Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (ankle) has delivered double-digit fantasy points in all but one of his games so far in 2024. He's the RB11 so far this season, and pretty much perfectly met expectations at an ADP of around RB12 in fantasy drafts. He also had his biggest game of the season in Week 8.
He's only scored four total touchdowns, but has seen solid usage in the passing game and has been the beneficiary of a workhorse role, averaging 18.1 carries per game. He's been reasonably efficient with 4.6 yards per carry.
So is Jacobs injured or healthy, and will he suit up for his Week 9 contest?

Is Josh Jacobs Injured or Playing in Week 9?
He's officially listed as "Questionable" for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. He didn't practice on Wednesday, but managed to log limited sessions on both Thursday and Friday. Fortunately, Jacobs himself was interviewed on October 30, and stated that he would be fine by the time the game comes around.

There's a chance he could suffer a setback or is underestimating the severity of his injury, of course. Anything can happen, so fantasy managers should check back for updates. There might not be total clarity about his status until the final list of active players is released by the team. That's due 90 minutes before kickoff. The game will start at 4:25 ET Sunday.
Josh Jacobs Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
Jacobs is a must-start due to his projected role in the game and his production so far this season. If he can't go, backup Emanuel Wilson should take over and play the primary rushing role in the offense. He's little more than a handcuff for now, but would see enough touches to be fantasy relevant.

No. 8's workload makes him highly valuable as a fantasy asset, and he shouldn't be overlooked. He'll profile as a mid-range RB2 in his matchup with the Lions, who boast one of the toughest run defenses in the NFL.
