Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been one of the top passers in the NFL and fantasy football this season. He is the QB2 for the year, averaging 23.7 fantasy points per game.
The superstar has been a touchdown machine. Allen has 3,731 passing yards and 28 touchdowns compared to six interceptions this season. Furthermore, he has 102 rushing attempts for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns, his second consecutive year with double-digit rushing scores.
However, will Allen start and play in Week 18 against the New England Patriots?

Is Josh Allen Starting And Playing This Week?
The Bills are locked into the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs regardless of whether they win or lose on Sunday against the division rivals. However, head coach Sean McDermott said Allen would get the start in Week 18.
Yet, the superstar won’t be on the field for very long, as the team primarily wants to keep his consecutive starting streak alive. Fantasy players should avoid starting Allen this week against the Patriots, as Mitchell Trubisky will play most of the game.
McDermott: Josh Allen will play "for a short time" Week 18.

Replacement Options Off The Waiver Wire
While Trubisky is a solid NFL backup quarterback, the veteran isn’t an ideal replacement option for fantasy players this week. Instead, fantasy players should add Bryce Young off the waiver wire. He is rostered in only 18% of Yahoo leagues.
The second-year quarterback has played well since the Carolina Panthers’ Week 11 bye. Young has averaged 222 passing yards, 1.3 touchdowns, and 18.1 fantasy points per game over the past six weeks. Furthermore, he has two passing touchdowns and at least 16.9 fantasy points in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Young faces the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. They have surrendered 18.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, the sixth-most in the NFL. Atlanta has given up 31.8 or more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in two of their past four matchups.
