Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen (head) had a rough outing against the Houston Texans in Week 5. Allen completed just nine of his 30 passes for an abysmal 30% completion rate, throwing for only 131 yards and one touchdown. He rushed four times for 54 yards as well.
He produced his third pedestrian fantasy output with just 14.64 points. It's the third time he's failed to reach 15+ fantasy points in a game this season.
He was also forced to exit the game in the second half before returning. Is Josh Allen now hurt or healthy? Will Josh Allen be available in Week 6? What's his fantasy outlook for the rest of the 2024 season?

Josh Allen Injury Update for Fantasy Football
The seventh-year vet and face of the Bills franchise was knocked unconscious on a tackle in the second half. His legs were held as he fell to the side and slammed his head into the turf, causing his body to fall limp. Despite this, he was quickly cleared of a concussion and returned to the game.
It's insane that Josh Allen was put back in after this hit. Even if he says he's fine, why bet the franchise QB that #concussion symptoms aren't delayed?
Protocol aside, how are we taking risks like this just a few weeks after another Tua concussion?pic.twitter.com/jr6iBbgsAl— Chris Nowinski, Ph.D. (@ChrisNowinski1) October 6, 2024
Some NFL teams continue to make a mockery of the current concussion protocol. There's no reason Allen should have continued playing after the film was reviewed. He suffered significant brain trauma, yet was inexplicably cleared of a concussion. He should be put into concussion protocol, but it's unclear if he will be.
How is Josh Allen not in concussion protocol?

The Bills also let him slam his head into the turf in Week 4. They're shamefully not taking care of their superstar quarterback. Allen's managers should stay updated on his situation. If there's enough controversy around the situation, it could influence the Bills to hold him out for at least one game.
