Mason also suffered an injury in Week 13 and is slated to miss time. With five weeks remaining in the season, Mason's career year may have come to an early end.

Is Jordan Mason Out For The Season?
Jordan Mason is headed to injured reserve with a high-ankle sprain. The former undrafted running back will miss at least four games. Unless the 49ers make a postseason push, Mason may not play again this season. For fantasy football purposes (unless you play in Week 18), he's done.

The 49ers are down to their fourth running back. McCaffrey, Mason, and Elijah Mitchell are all on injured reserve. Isaac Guerendo will command most of the touches moving forward. Patrick Taylor Jr. and newly-signed Israel Abanikanda will mix in.

Given he was the third-string running back a week ago, Guerendo is widely available and the most coveted waiver-wire asset this season. Managers with the top waiver priority or the most remaining FAAB budget should claim Guerendo. Running backs thrive in San Francisco's system. He'll rank as an RB2 for the rest of San Francisco's season.
