Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL during the second half of 2023. He had a rough start to the season but turned it around in a big way, ending as the QB5 overall.
Unfortunately, during the first game of the 2024 season, Love suffered a knee injury in the final seconds of the Packers' game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Love has not returned to the field since, and it was revealed he suffered a sprained MCL.
Is Jordan Love playing in Week 4? Should you start backup QB Malik Willis if he doesn't play? Let's dive in.

Is Jordan Love Playing In Week 4?
Luckily for Love managers, he is expected to play in Week 4 when the Packers take on their bitter divisional rival, the Minnesota Vikings, at home in Green Bay. Love is still listed as "Questionable" on the injury report, but barring some extremely unfortunate mishap, he will take the field.

Love may not be at 100% for this game, but historically the Packers have been very cautious with injuries. That said, typically players are much more motivated to come back early for divisional games, as they are incredibly important in the playoff race and for eventual playoff seeding.
If Love is on any of your rosters, you should start him as you normally would, ignoring injuries. If you have a better quarterback to play and are concerned Love could be less effective, that's not totally unreasonable, but not many rosters have multiple top quarterbacks.
Should I Start Malik Willis for Fantasy Football Week 4?
No. The quarterback position isn't some committee like some running back rooms in the NFL are. The quarterback plays 100% of the important snaps, usually only leaving the field because of injury, odd wildcat formations, or subbing in the backup in blowout losses.

Love should be starting in all leagues. He's an excellent quarterback in an elite offensive system with a ton of great weapons and a good offensive line. Love has shown nothing that should make his managers want to bench him, and there's no chance Willis will take over the job. Lock Love into your starting lineups.
Love has had plenty of time to allow his knee to recover, and it's unlikely the Packers would rush him back if he were at huge risk for reinjury or if he couldn't play at a high level. Willis handled the offense reasonably well in Love's absence, and it would make no sense to risk your QB1, who's being paid $220,000,000 over the next four years, for a regular season game.
