Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (groin) has played excellently in 2024, and when healthy, but has now had his fair share of injury issues this season. He missed his Week 2 and 3 games with a knee injury, then was forced to exit his Week 8 contest after injuring his groin, trying to play through it, and ultimately being pulled from the game.
Love has played five full games as the starter (including Week 1, 97% of snaps), and he's thrown 15 touchdowns in that span. Despite also throwing eight interceptions during those games, he's been a QB1 because of that scoring production. It seems like the Green Bay offense fires on all cylinders most weeks, giving him great upside.
So is Love still hurt or is he healthy, and will he play in Week 9?

Is Jordan Love Injured or Playing in Week 9?
No. 10 is officially listed as "Questionable" on the Packers injury report for Week 9 action. Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur hasn't clarified whether he's expected to play or not. This is fantastic news for fantasy managers who totally love to now know whether their QB1 is playing, especially since he plays in the afternoon window of games.

It's more difficult to have a backup plan that allows you to make the best possible choice when the majority of games start earlier. Fantasy managers will have to wait and see whether a report on his status comes out regarding his status before the morning games.
Jordan Love Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
If he doesn't play, backup QB Malik Willis is actually not a bad starting option. He has 13 and 25.3 fantasy points in his two full games played for Green Bay this season. He was ineffective last season with the Tennessee Titans, a testament to the offense that coach LaFleur runs.
I just keep thinking about this. Malik F*cking Willis man. What a stud! pic.twitter.com/6trgU4ikix

For years now, LaFleur has implemented an offense that regularly schemes its players wide open. There are tons of examples on film of multiple receivers creating big separation, making the quarterback's job easier, and making him much more attractive as a fantasy option.
Obviously, if Love plays, he's a must-start, but his fantasy managers might want to pick up Willis as a handcuff to avoid these game window troubles in the future.
