Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) is a rising star quarterback in the NFL in 2024. He had a rough start to the 2023 season, but improved his play massively in the second half of 2023, becoming a solid starting fantasy QB and leading the Packers to the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs.
Love is the key engine of a Packers offense that missed him dearly when he was absent in Week 2. Though the Packers won, their offense was nowhere near as explosive as it has been with Love recently.
Is Jordan Love healthy or still hurt? Will Love play in Week 3? Let's dive into Love's injury updates and fantasy football outlook.
Love suffered an MCL sprain in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles near the very end of the game, and hasn't returned to play since then. He missed Week 2, and the Packers haven't committed to whether he'll be started or kept off the field in Week 3. It was a scary injury at the time.
Asked Jordan Love point blank: Did he think his season was over in Brazil?
All he knew was his knee hurt. Worse than any injury he’s ever had before.
Love managers can be thankful the timeline for his injury is certainly less than four weeks, else he'd have probably been placed on injured reserve. Love indicated that it was the most pain he's been in during a game in an interview earlier today, but he also said he's been feeling much better.
There's more positive news. Love returned to practice earlier today and participated in early drills. Love was wearing a compression sleeve on the leg of the knee he had injured, indicating that he's still experiencing some pain or discomfort, but it's always a good sign to see players back on the practice field.

Love managers will want to continue to monitor his practice status as the week goes on, to see if there are any setbacks and get the earliest possible updates on when his game status is confirmed.
Jordan Love Fantasy Football Outlook
Love is easily a QB1. He's the commander of a top-tier offense with head coach Matt LaFleur calling the plays, the Packers have consistently ranked among the top offenses every week since Love emerged in the second part of the 2023 season. They have a great group of young receivers and a consistently strong running game.
Love is regarded as a fantastically talented quarterback, and he should be starting in any normal or larger league. He's capable of producing QB1 numbers weekly. If he plays, he should be in starting lineups in all those leagues. Don't leave him on your bench if he takes the field.
