Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison looked solid in Week 1, showing that he can still produce on offense despite his role behind Justin Jefferson and the team's quarterback downgrade.
However, a new injury popped up for Addison that could detract from some of the optimism that built up in Week 1.
Will Jordan Addison be available for the Vikings' Week 2 game against the San Francisco 49ers? Is Jordan Addison injured? What is the latest Jordan Addison injury news?

Jordan Addison Injury Update for Fantasy Football
On Monday, head coach Kevin O'Connell confirmed that Addison is dealing with a right ankle injury. It's tough news for the second-year receiver since he just recovered from a left ankle injury during training camp.
Fortunately, O'Connell said that Addison is dealing with significant soreness but avoided a major injury. It's still too early to tell whether he'll play in Week 2. O'Connell noted that although the Vikings will be smart and won't rush him back, Addison did recover from his left ankle injury faster than expected this summer.
If Addison's new ailment heals just as well as his last one, we could be looking at nothing more than a potential one-game absence for the talented receiver. There's also a chance he won't miss any games.
Jordan Addison has "pretty significant soreness" in his injured ankle, per Kevin O'Connell. Vikings will be "smart" with Addison, he said, but also know he healed quickly from his previous ankle injury during training camp.

Addison's injury held him to just 51 percent of the Vikings' offensive snaps on Sunday. Even in his limited action, he still caught three of four targets for 35 yards through the air.
If he had been healthy for the whole game, five catches and 50 yards (double-digit points in PPR leagues) would have been well within reach.
The 49ers have a solid defensive front, but their secondary was immune to some big plays in 2023. In fact, the best game of Addison's rookie campaign came against the Niners as he caught seven passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
On Monday night, San Francisco allowed Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard to combine for 20 targets, 12 catches, 149 yards, and two touchdowns.
Therefore, if Addison suits up in Week, 2 he'll be an intriguing WR3/FLEX option. It also helps that the Vikings are underdogs, meaning they'll likely need to pass a lot in order to keep pace with the Niners.
Of course, starting Addison in fantasy football is only possible if he's healthy enough to play. Managers should monitor the Vikings' injury reports, including the Friday version in which they give him an official game designation. If he's listed as questionable, managers will get official confirmation on his status at 11:30 a.m. EST on Sunday.
