Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon suffered a concussion in Week 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Unfortunately, he couldn't clear the protocols in time to play last week against the Tennessee Titans, resulting in Samaje Perine getting the start.
Concussions have been a big area of concern for the NFL after the Tua Tagovailoa debacle, so it's even tougher to speculate on them than ever before.
Is Mixon trending toward playing in Week 13? Let's find out.

Is Joe Mixon Healthy or Injured?
Mixon (concussion) logged a limited practice Wednesday, which is a positive sign for his game-day status against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Again, it's important to not sharpie him into fantasy lineups just yet, because concussions make it difficult to evaluate a player's chances to play. Until there is concise news that Mixon is playing or is out, be sure to keep track of his latest updates.
Joe Mixon Week 13 Fantasy Outlook
Kansas City has allowed the 12th-most fantasy points to running backs through 12 weeks, so Mixon can be trusted in fantasy lineups if he's good to go. Mixon is the RB8 on the season and had one of the largest workloads among running backs before his injury.
At this point, he's a must-start with the scarcity of the position, especially since he's just a few weeks removed from a five-touchdown game. This Chiefs-Bengals matchup sets up for a high-flying shootout, so there are several players from each team with high fantasy ceilings.
If Mixon is ruled out, Samaje Perine becomes a must-start after scoring four touchdowns in his last two games. Perine totaled 93 yards and a touchdown in a tough matchup against the Tennessee Titans last week, so we have to consider him a legitimate RB1 candidate as long as he is the starter for the Joe Burrow-led offense.
