Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco has played for multiple teams during his 16-year NFL career. He started with the Baltimore Ravens, playing 11 years with the franchise. The former first-round pick had over 38,000 passing yards and 136 touchdowns with the Ravens.
Flacco has played for three different teams over the past five years. He spent a year with the Denver Broncos in 2019. Then, the veteran played for the New York Jets from 2020 through 2022, starting nine games.
However, Flacco’s biggest impact came this year with the Cleveland Browns. The former Delaware star played a massive role in the Browns making the playoffs.

Which Teams Would Be The Best Fit For Joe Flacco?
Flacco said he has no intention of retiring this offseason. Unfortunately, Cleveland reportedly will not re-sign the veteran quarterback. Deshaun Watson remains their starter, and the team likes Dorian Thompson-Robinson as his long-term backup.
Yet, Flacco will have plenty of suitors on the open market. Despite turning 39 a month ago, the veteran quarterback can still play at a meaningful level in the NFL. He averaged 323.2 passing yards and 2.6 touchdowns in five regular season games last season. Furthermore, his 13 passing touchdowns were the most he had in a season since 2017.

While Flacco can still play at a starter’s level, no one will sign him as their starter for next year. However, he should get a job as a high-end backup or bridge-gap quarterback. Ideally, the veteran can start the first few weeks of the 2024 season before handing over the starting job to a rookie.
There are a few potential landing spots for Flacco. At the top of the list is the New England Patriots. They will be in the market for a quarterback this offseason. If they select a rookie with the third-overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Patriots could sign Flacco as the bridge-gap quarterback and mentor.
